Congratulations to Rhys & Paul who took part in their first strongman competition over the weekend. Rhys placed 2nd overall in the over 90kg weight class and Paul placed 2nd overall in the under 90kg weight class.
Fancy learning how to use strongman objects? Rhys’ next strongman class will be taking place on Sunday 26th October between 11:30am-1:00pm on the gym floor. There is no prior experience required and it is open to members and non-members of The Boat Shed. Save this date in your diary!

Warm up and Mobilise

Within a 20 minute time cap:
Build to a 5 rep max push press (from a rack)
b)
“Freddie’s Revenge”
5 rounds for time:
5 Shoulder to overhead (using 75% of your established max from part a)
10 Burpees
Notes:
-Bar to be taken from the floor
-Any form of STOH allowed: Press, Push press, Push jerk, Split jerk
-Full jump + extension required for burpees

10 minutes zone 1 recovery work of your choice (air dyne/row/walk)
